OK,
I have a db located on a netware server. I want to make a
link on our intranet to the db. Our Linux based intranet
server mounts a directory on the Netware server to access
certain files, such as the db.
When I create a standard href link, I get the "Acces won't
open this because it's outside the intranet zone". I
reasearched this, and found the MS article referring to
FQDN's and such. I tried everything they suggested, such
as adding the intranet site to the intranet zone, with no
luck.
I also tried creating a link using the UNC to the db.
Now, the strange thing is, if I paste teh
UNC "\\servername\volume\dir\file" directly into the
address bar, it opens the db. However, if I use the UNC
as an href on a web page and try the link from there, IE
tries to go to file://servername/vol/dir/etc... and the db
will not open.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
