We're getting a network/permission error when attempting to access folders on our Sharepoint site, or upload documents. We can connect, and see the top level directory structure. But opening any of those folders give us an error. We're running Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 (6.0.2.6568). Client machines are running 10.5 and developer preview of 10.6.

Having the same problem with the Document connection tool. Can access top-level, but opening a folder gives me a permission/connection error.

When I access in Safari or Firefox, I'm asked to login and then see the landing page for the Sharepoint site. I'm able to access 'Shared Documents' from the left-hand navigation and everything functions properly.

I've never had any issues via web browsers.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but the Sharepoint site is only accessible on our private network. I'm connected to the network when I access the site, but I thought it might be worth mentioning.

Document Connection is using the same protocols to connect to SharePoint
as any web browser. What works there should work in Document Connection.

Be sure you're using the URL of the site and not the full URL to a file.
For example, you want to enter into Document Connection:

http://server.example.com/sites/mysite/

not:

http://server.example.com/sites/mysite/default.aspx

Hope this helps!

Yep, I've been trying that. Just the straight URL, but still getting the following when I try to click on "Shared Documents" in the main window:

Document Connection cannot complete this task.

You need to have a network connection and permission to complete this task.

Error: 500 - Internal Server Error

Hope I can help.

Our sharepoint site is also an alias. I understand that it is on a server with several other sharepoint sites.

Using the full domain in Document Connection, the same as we use in the browser. We can 'check out' documents in the browser, but nothing happens other than the document status in the browser saying its checked out to the user. Nothing else happens. Can't even get to documents in the Document Connection app.
