Problem creating labels

I am having a problem creating labels in Microspft word 2003.

I go to Tools - Letters and mailings and then select Envelopes and Labels.
If I select New Document the lables do not appear in my page.

I have reinstalled microsoft Office but still have the problem

has anyone seen this before:?

Hi G.D.,

The labels on the new document are created as a Word table.
If you use the Tables menu does changing the setting for Show/Hide gridlines help?
