Problem deleting users in Project Server 2007

Hello,

We are having an issue with Project Server 2007 where we try to delete
certain resources and it says they are project owners and can't be
deleted. We have just installed Project Server and there are only 3
or 4 test projects in the system. I have checked the owner of the
projects, and they are different then the resources we are trying to
delete. When deleting the resources through "Delete Enterprise
Objects" it gives an error either saying the resources are projector
owners or project assignment owners. I have inserted the assignment
owner column in on the projects and these resources do not seem to be
assignment owners for any tasks, so I am not sure what the deal is.
Can someone suggest a way to delete these users, please? Thanks.

Insert the Status Manager column in a project and see if the resource is
listed for any tasks in the project. Let us know what you find.

Whats the definition of a status manager, versus the assignment
owner? I'll check this out, thanks.

The Assignment Owner is the person who sees the assigned tasks on his/her My
Tasks page in PWA. The Status Manager is the person to whom the system
sends task updates from team members. Hope this helps.

Makes perfect sense and I'm sure that this is the issue. As soon as I
have access to the system I'll check.

Dale,

I actually had to go into SQL and delete some ghost projects that were
in MSP_Projects, but existed no where else. Then I was able to delete
these users. This was a new installation and these projects were just
test projects that were deleted at the end of training. I am not sure
how they got stuck in the database, but this resolved it.
