All of our users are working on Windows XP SP 2 with Windows 2000 files
servers and domain controllers.
The problem is that as we upgrade our PCs from Office XP to Office 2003,
most users are unable to embed excel spreadsheets in their word documents.
"Error! Not a valid link" is pasted in the document where the table ought to
go. You can edit this message and view the allegedly invalid links and
references, but no object is viewable. However, some users with identical
privileges can do this without fail. It happens only in Office 2003, and
file permissions seem to be adequate for the task.
Any suggestions?
