problem, entourage crash on send receive

all of a sudden, send and receive causes entourage to crash.

this only happens with one email account.

I can get email from other accounts, if I download separately.

I can get email from my main account if I use different email client, or use
entourage on different computer.

I tried removing entourage preferences, I tried removing all of entourage.
I tried reinstalling office 2001.

But no matter what I did the problem persists.

I notice that even if I remove preferences, the account list does not
change.

1. does any one know what file holds this information, so I can delete this
file and start over with all new account.

I did try creating account over again.

2. how can I do this without losing all old email.

any ideas out there

thanks

If you are crashing on receiving mail, it could be due to a corrupt
message on the server. Work through the steps on the "Crashes" page on The
Entourage Help Page.
<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/help/send_receive/crashes_hangs.html>

Please let us know if the tips to disable the Junk Mail Filter (Tools ->
Junk Mail Filter) and disable rules (Tools -> Rules) worked, as that's a
possible workaround to this problem, and knowing whether it works could help
to eliminate the problem in future releases. If that doesn't solve the
problem, try the steps to Allow Online Access and delete the message.

If that doesn't help, try rebuilding the database. Quit Entourage, and then
restart Entourage holding down the Option key. When the Rebuild dialog box
comes up, choose to do a Typical Rebuild.
