I've seen the following happen on more than one workstation (using the
same version of Microsoft Project Professional 2002).
1) Rename a custom field by going to Tools | Customize | Fields
2) Choose Text from the Type Dropdown
3) Rename Text1 to value "Application"
4) Choose to use a value list and enter some values.
5) Close out the screen
6) Insert the new "Application" column
7) Create a new Filter and try to reference the new column.
8) In my version the filter throws up a error dialog saying the custom
field does not exist . . . choose a valid field.
What I've found is that if I use other names for the field other than
"Application" I do not have a problem.
So my questions are . . .
1) Is the word "Application" a reserved work in Project 2002 and this
is a problem?
2) Has anyone noticed this type of problem?
3) Has there ever been a service pack update for Project Pro 2002?
Thanks in advance!
