Problem getting my data!

Need Assitance!

I have been using BCM for several months. Recently my hard disk failed. I
purchased a new disk and a well meaning friend, transferred my outlook .pst
file to the new disk. He also transferred my profile.

When I look in the directory C:\dcouments and settings\<user>\local
settings\application data\microsoft\business contact manager... there are
several files. They included a *.ldf, a *.mdf and a *_log.ldf files.
Unfortunately, I am not able to find the data which I have been using.

What do I need to do to get BCM back up and running?

After you install BCM on the computer, just copy the .ldf and .mdf files to
the your user folder below and then start Outlook. BCM will prompt you to
create a database. Select the advanced startup option to select the BCM
data stored in the files you copied.

Thanks for responding. Unfortunately, I tried what you suggested and it
does not appear to work. I have uninstalled BCM and reinstalled it several
times. I have also deleted the databases (no small feat I might add...)
from the new drive and re-copied the old database over from my old drive.

When starting BCM up after reinstalling it it asks me to create new
database. However, there is no "advanced startup option," to select.
Consequently, when I click the create new database it never gives me the
option to select the database which I have transferred to the location
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Business Contact Manager. It just goes off and creates a new
database.

The version of Outlook I am using is: Outlook 2003 (11.6568.6568) SP2? Any
other suggestions?

Once you have the "Business Contact Manager" menu item in Outlook, select "Database Tools | Create or Select a Database..."
