Problem Importing Holidays into Entourage

I have followed the proper steps to import holidays for 2010 into Entourage,
received the message that the holidays had been successfully imported but
find no holidays on my Entourage Calendar. Can anyone help me resolve this
problem?

What version of Entourage? Entourage 2004 does not have the newer dates.

will they be getting the newer dates?

Nobody outside of the Macintosh Business Unit at Microsoft knows for
sure. I would say that chances are very small, however, as holiday files
usually have a very low priority, especially those in older versions of
Microsoft Office.

I am using Entourage 2008 with the newest updates installed(12.2.3)
and can not seem to import and calendars. Entourage says the holidays
have been added yet nothing appears. Can the holiday files be
downloaded from Microsoft?

Thank you.

Hi everybody,

I have the same problem with entourage 2004.
The reason for the problem is that the corresponding file (the one
entourage uses to import from) only contains the corresponding dates
until 2009.

You can add the entries manually in the file (see below) - but that's
a pain in the neck if we ALL did this.
(I'm not familiar with the US holidays, otherwise I'd already done the
job).

The file containing the corresponding holiday-dates can be manually
updated. It's located in
/Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Office/

Most probably the file is called "Holidays" (I use a German version
and here it's called "Feiertage" aka Holidays).

The actually best solution would be:
I'd suggest that someone who ownes a 2008 version please post the
corresponding file...

Best, h!

I had the same problem. I found " holidays" for ical (i calendar) and then sync'd entourage to ical to get the holidays to show on entourage.
