Problem Inserting MPEGs

M

Melanie Scalley

After loading MS Office 2000 on my new laptop, I have tried to insert a MPEG
file by:

INSERT
MOVIE
MOVIE FROM FILE

Unfortunately, I get the error message "PowerPoint found an error that it
can't correct. You should save presentations, exit and then restart
presentation."

I have tried removing and reloading Microsoft Office, but with no success.

Is there anyone who has any suggestions for this problem?

Thank you.

Thanks for your message posting regarding my problems of inserting an MPEG
in PowerPoint, however, I was not able to solve the issue by looking through
and performing the things I found through the link you suggested.

Now (within the last several minutes) I have upgraded to Office/PowerPoint
2003, and I am able to insert the MPEG (which functions normally in Windows
Media Player), however, I get a black screen with sound, but no images.

Any suggestions? Thank you.
