Problem: inserting page moves content

I have a page with several text boxes on it. I have tried locking them
deselecting "Move with text" and it still moves all the objects when
insert a page, even if I hard-return down to the bottom of the page. I
there a better way to insert a blank page in the middle of a documen
without moving any objects? I happen to be using Mac version 98, bu
the behavior seems to be the same on newer versions of Word

I NEVER use hard returns. Try Insert-Break. On Windows, it's Ctrl+Enter. I
suspect Macs have a similar shortcut for the two of you Mac users. :)

A lot more than two.... :)

Try Shift-Enter on a Mac to insert a manual page break. Also note that
there are Mac-specific newsgroups for Word, etc, although you mostly just
need Mac-specific groups for crashing, etc, rather than internal
manipulation of Word (assuming you can translate keyboard shortcuts).

See here for gateway to Mac-specific ngs:
