Problem installing Office 2000

I've recently reinstalled Windows 98 on my PC (ancient - I
know). I currently have no office software installed. I
went to reinstall Office 2000. The Autorun starts and
the Window Installer window appears with the
message "Preparing to Install" and then disappears and
nothing happens. I've tried it by typing D:setup.exe and
the same scenario.

Can anybody help me?
