Problem installing Office 2007 Standard Upgrade

I'm trying to install Office 2007 Standard Upgrade on a computer with
Windows XP. The install goes about halfway and then I get a pop-up box
"SETUP cannot find Installation source for Standardr.WW\StdrWW.cab" with a
browse box. When I browse to the CD, and go that folder,I get another popup
box with "Invalid location".

what's going on?

Have you tried copying the CD to your hard drive and installing from there?

I too am having trouble installing Office 2007. I have the Professional
version, and I have tried copying the CD to my hard drive, but get the same
message. A dialog box says "SETUP cannot find ... and then it lists various
folders which ARE on the CD. When I browse to the CD, and go that folder, it
takes a minute or so, but then comes up with ANOTHER missing folder. I have
seen this problem described online a lot, but have yet to find an answer. I'd
like to be able to install and use the software I purchased.

Thank you in advance.

You can try two steps to resovle the issue:

1> To install an upgrade version of office, you need to have any one of the
older version of office installed in the comptuer. Install Office 2002 or
2003 first and then install the office standard upgrade if you've an older
version of office

2> if you don't have an older version of office, download and install the
Office Standard 2007 Trial version from the link below and use the product
key that you've purchased to install the upgrade version of office standard
2007
