Problem installing OfficeXP SP3 fullfile?

When trying to install OfficeXpSp3-kb832671-fullfile-enu.exe, I'm prompted to
install my Office XP CD. Then I get a message that the path 'Microsoft Office
XP Professional' cannot be found. This is the problem that I thought the
fullfile installation was suppose to alleviate. I downloaded the Windows
Installer 2.0 and it said that the specified service already exists. I'm
running W2K SP4. Thanks for any help.

Hi, Greg C,

You're right: that's what it's supposed to do, and I believe in most cases
it does. However, it doesn't always...hence the following KB article.
