I have a Wordperfect document that needs to be converted
to Word and have a bunch of work done to convert the Greek
font I have embedded in it. I worked on it in WordPerfect
9, including saving it as .doc. I was able to close and
open it in Wordperfect. Then I made the mistake of opening
in MS Word XP. NOw, nothing that I do will let me go back
to Wordperfect with it. If copy and paste, Wordperfect
won't accept the input file format. IF I save it as RTF,
and WOrd says I'll lose formatting, and I accept that, the
resulting file cannot be pasted or opened as RTF because
it's an unknown file type to Wordperfect, all of which means
that Word is actually lying when it says it is converting
the file format or this ought to work. I want to move it
back to Wordperfect because that's a much better environment
to work in for my purposes, e.g., when spell-checking, which
is what I'm doing to find the Greek I need to change,
Wordperfect clearly displays the font of the word in
question MS Word does not do this properly at all. How can
I force MS Word to save a file as an RTF that is truly an
RTF so that other programs that can read RTF files but not
doc files can open it? I'm facing a deadline and it's
urgent that i do this. Thanks.
