Office 2K
We have 2 servers (server A and server B)
Server A is the server that houses user files and is the server Active
Directory points the user to for their "Home" directories. This server is
also a DC
Server B used the play the role of server A but has been moved to the
secondary DC role but still houses user files in case of a server crash.
Right now....when a user opens any Office App. (say Word) the click File >>
Open.
This allows them 2 ways to browse for their files. (1)They can use the
explorer feature with the dropdown list >> select the drive >> then double
click the folders....or (2) they can click the larger icons on the left side
(My Computer, Desktop, My Documents, Favorites, etc).
When the user does option (2) they access their files on Server B
When the user does option (1) they access their files on Server A
Is there a way (without giving the user Administrative access) to make
option (2) access the files on Server A instead of server B?
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks for the help.
