Problem printing a DAP

B

I'm running Windows XP, SP1, Access 2003 and IE 6.0. I've creaed a great DAP
that pull together data from numerous queries, and also presents some
important data via a Pivot Graph. Online, viewed in IE, the DAP looks great.
However, when I try to print from IE, I get the Title of the DAP and a blank
page, a blank page 2nd page and the third page has some of the data/charts on
it.

I've tried just about everything I can think of. I have already reduced the
width of the DAP page to less than 8.5" and adjusted various printing
settings, but nothing works. Unfortunately, the value of the DAP will be
greatly dimished if end users cannot print it easily. Any help or
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

what kindof printer are you using??

I would reccomend using Access for printed reports and DAP for data
entry.

btw, you are using Access Data Projects with DAP and not the obsolete
MDB.. right?

what version of OWC are you using; did you write this in 2003?
i would reccomend making sure you've run officeupdate.microsoft.com

i use office web components (dap lives on this) fulltime for 4 years
and it's honestly never occurred to me to try to print the things.

have you added the page as a trusted site?

to make sure it's not just a simple authentication problem?

A quick update that may help other users, although not the best solution.
The DAP I was trying to print was more than 1 page in length. When I reduced
the DAP to only 1 page, it printed fine. My short-term solution is to keep
the DAPs to only 1 page should they need to be printed.

Fabulous answer.

I would also reccomend making super-complex reports available on a
scheduled basis..
in SNAPSHOT format or plain old HTML

i have heard that www.rptsoftware.com can make this pretty easy to
manage. that software always looked attractive to me; especially when
crystal quoted me $75k for a single-server license a couple years back.

What is rpt software; a site license with source for $600? or something
like that??
