problem reading or sending mail in outlook

I am having a problem reading or sending email in outlook. It had been
working fine and now when I hit the send/receive button, I get error message
stating servier not good??? Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?

Double-check your account settings, specifically the server names.

Since you didn't state your version of Outlook, no one can tellyou exactly
where to look, but your server settings are in the property pages of your
account.

Ed,

Check your proxy settings once again(if you are behind a firewall).
It would be better if version of outlook is specified.

If you are using Outlook 2000. Goto Tools->Accounts
click the "Mail" tab,then click properties and examine
if the settings are correct.
