Problem receiving emails off of exchange server

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange A problem has arisen for a few of us at work, all using Entourage 13.0.3 (Web Services Edition). We are not all on the same internet provider and we have different Intel based Macs, but we all run Snow Leopard latest version. From time to time, we are finding that new emails to not download automatically from the exchange server unless we force it to by hitting Send/Receive or right-clicking the Inbox and choosing Synchronize Now. Our exchange host says there are no problems on their end causing this. I recently setup my Apple Mail application to communicate with the same server to troubleshoot and it works fine. I have tried rebuilding the database with no luck. Please advise on what I should do to for each of us to fix this problem.

A problem has arisen for a few of us at work, all using Entourage

provider and we have different Intel based Macs, but we all run Snow
Leopard latest version. From time to time, we are finding that new
emails to not download automatically from the exchange server unless
we force it to by hitting Send/Receive or right-clicking the Inbox
and choosing Synchronize Now. Our exchange host says there are no
problems on their end causing this. I recently setup my Apple Mail

Please advise on what I should do to for each of us to fix this
problem.

Service providers often take the stance that nothing is wrong on their
end unless you yourself can prove it. I'm not quite sure I would always
accept their answer as gospel.

However, since you mention no issues with Apple's Mail and different
ISPs, this certainly makes Entourage look suspicious.

Go to Entourage menu --> Preferences... --> General Preferences -->
General and enable "Enable logging (troubleshooting)". When you notice
this problem is occurring, leave Entourage running. Open the .log file
you see on your Desktop with /Application/Utilities/Console.app. The
newest entries will be toward the bottom. Watch it for a while to see if
new entries appear. These are probably related to Entourage attempting
to make a connection.

The log gets big, so reading through it can be a chore, but you can use
the filter in the upper right corner to search for keywords like
"error", "problem" or other words you see as you view the log.

Hope this helps!
