Problem saving using macro

I am using Access2000 and I have 2 forms which can accessed from the
switchboard page and 1 of the forms is functioning correctly but the second
form will not save. At first it was linking to the first form but I think
that has been fixed but now it will not save and go to the next new record. I
am using the same format in the macro that I used on the other sheet - save /
form / formname

I don't know code so I am just using the macro design format.

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

I'm not clear what you mean by "the second form will not save". Do you mean
changes to the form's design, or data entered into the form?

If the latter, open the form in design view, click on the box in the upper
left of the form, select Properties, and note the Record Source. What table
does Access think the data entered on that form will be stored in?

Thanks Jeff. I checked what you suggested and found that the Record Source
was blank. I put in the correct table name and even went through each line
listed in properties and compared them to the other form which is working
correctly. Everything there is checking out ok.

Just to clarify, the problem is I created a command button to save the form
but for some reason I can not get it to work. I created a new button just to
test it and can not get any of the functions to work other than quit. I
already had a button to quit which has worked fine from the start. I am just
confused as to why the command buttons will not function correctly on this
form.

Off the top, I have no idea?!?

(I tend to grab a bigger hammer when things don't fit. If I poke at an
object -- e.g. a command button -- and can't get it to work, I usually
delete it and rebuild it.)

By the way, a bit of semantics... In Access, data is stored in tables,
displayed in forms. Thus, you wouldn't be "saving a form" unless you were
modify the form's design and saving that appearance. I suspect what you are
trying to do is save the data you had entered via that form.
