Problem setting tasks to complete

Hi,

Here's the setup: I'm using MS Project 2003 connected to Project Server
2003, I have managed time periods turned on and I'm having everyone use PWA
to enter in their time against the project tasks.

Here's my problem: I'm getting project completed that have 0 remaining work
hours and the tasks aren't being set to complete. If I set the task manually
to complete, it give the message to sync with the project server and when I
do that, it re-set's the tasks back to incomplete. I'm stumped on this one
and really need to be able to get this one solved.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can have "% Work complete" equal to 100%, but "% Complete" less than
100% if the Finish Date has somehow moved out, but no work filled the space.
I had this happen at my last site numerous times after task time updates.

Filter on tasks where "% Work Complete" equals 100% AND "% Complete"
NOT equal 100%. Then, using a Task Detail view, adjust "Duration" down by a
day or so at a time, and ensure that "% Complete" moves toward "100%", BUT
that "Actual Work". do NOT change. As soon as the duration reaches the point
of the last actual work entry, "% Complete" should hit "100%". Any further
attempt to lower duration will result in "Actual Work" being reduced.

Hope this helps ...!
