When I try to sign, it seems to be ok but when I save it says there is a
problem with the certificate and the signature will be discarded.
I know there is more than one kind of certificate. This is a code-signing
certificate that we usually use with a command-line tool to sign DLLs. It
is an .SPC file imported with certmgr.msc, then in the office visual basic
editor, tools/digital signature I can hit [choose] to select it. After that
it reports that the VBA project is currently signed. I hit close. Then
file/save, and get the popup saying "There was a problem with the digital
certificate. The VBA project could not be signed. The signature will be
discarded."
