Problem uploading Frontpage

R

Rosie

I have been working all morning on my website and successfully uploading it
via Frontpage. Suddenly, I am getting a message saying that I have identical
destination file names for some of the files I am trying to copy and that
they must have unique file names in order to be successfully copied.
I have checked and re-checked all file names and none are duplicated - what
am I doing wrong?

This is an error I would expect (but would not want) when publishing FROM a
Unix server TO a Windows server or PC. Unix is case sensitive and
index.HTML and index.html are two different files on Unix but the same file
on Windows. Are you sure you have the sites the right way round -
publishing *from* your PC to the server - and you haven't accidentally
opened and worked on the server site?

Otherwise, download and run FP Cleaner from
http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm
With FrontPage closed, run the routines that clear the hidden temporary
files, and clear the hidden cache(*.web) files.
The problem *could* be a corrupted cache file.
