Problem using word as editor

Having problems with Zoom when using word as the editor.
When composing a new email or responding to an existing
one, the Zoom is set to 75%. Although it's manually being
changed to 100%, next new email will still open in 75%.
Is there a way to change the 'defaults' so the zoom will
remain at 100% ? Using Office 2000, SP2

Open Word and change the zoom to 100% and close Word. Open Word again to
verify that the zoom is still set to 100% if so your mail should be 100% as
well.
