Problem w/ outlook 2003

Help! I'm having trouble with Outlook 2003. The other day
out of the blue outlook suddenly stopped working
properly. Everytime I double click on the icon to start
up the application it begins to open up for about a few
seconds and then closes immediately. It refuses to stay
open....The Icon appears in the system tray indicating
that it's open in the background, but I can't acces it.

I've already done a system restore, ran Norton's
utilities, ran MS detect and repair, uninstalled outlook
and re-installed outlook, Even went as far as removing
Office all together and reinstalling it and so far
nothing. I've been able to access My email in safe mode,
but need to fix the problem. Please can't any body tell
me what's going on and how can I fix this. Thanks in
advance! BTW, My OS is windows XP professional

find and rename *.srs and outcmd.dat - both are in C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Hi Diane,
I renamed them both, rebooted and I'm still having the
same problem. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
