Problem with ASCII

Fredo

Hi,

I'm Win XP and Off.2003.
I'm concerned of my ASCII code, the ASCII code displayed when I insert
special caracters for the menu isn't the one I should use when using
Alt. EX: Alt-169 do a (R)instead of the (C) displayed in the insert
menu for special caracters. I want to know what to do to make the
thing be the same in the two ways.

Thanks for your help, if you need some info, ask me, i'll probably
answer monday.
Bye

In both Charter Map and Word 2003 Insert Symbol the (C) and (R) ASCII code
have a leading zero {0169 and 0174). When the ASCII code has a leading
zero, you must use it.

Also, in Word 2003 you can just type (c) and (r) and the symbol will be
inserted is you have Tools, Autocorrect Options configured to replace while
typing.
