Problem with Attachments in Office 2003

Office 2003, Vista Ultimate O.S.

When attaching a file in Word, it now attaches itself within the text of a
message instead of creating it's own "attachment" line under "Subject".

Is there a way to correct this?

Your mail format has been changed somehow to Rich Text. Under
Tools-Options-Mail Format (in Outlook) change it back to either plain text
or HTML...
