I have a strange behaviour, Outlook 2003 on a laptop was setup to connect to
an exchange server using HTTP which has worked fine upto now in that the
email was received and when the user logged on directly to the network and
used Outlook on a Terminal services window the recieved email was visible. Up
until this afternoon when the remote Outlook started transfering all the mail
from the server mail box to the local OST file, we are using cached mode. I
have confirmed this by sending a mail to the mailbox, viewing it in the TSS
session, but when I start the remote HTTP connected Outlook on first sync the
mail vanishes from the TSS session. As there is no switch I can find to stop
this or even to cause this behaviour, unlike when using POP3 email when you
have the choice to leave a copy on the mail server or not. I have other mail
boxes that are accessed using the same combination and they are fine so would
appear to be a local abberation of the remote Outlook. Any ideas on what is
happening and how can I stop it? Many thanks.
