problem with creating a two column handout

D

Douglas

I'm trying to create a handout for a presentation I'll be giving. I was
wanting to print two handouts on a single page, and then cut the page in
half. So I created a two column page in landscape format. I set left and
right margins to .75 inches and the space between the columns to be 1.5
inches. Both of the columns would be 4 inches wide. That adds up to 11
inches in width. The problem is that there is no symmetry in the page. When
I print and fold the page in half, the text on one side is indented
differently than the text on the other. All the measurements are set
correctly, so what am I doing wrong?

Instead of using columns, use "2 pages per sheet" in the Page Setup dialog
(Margins tab, under "Multiple pages"). Then create your handout on a single
page and print Pages: 1, 1.
