Problem with database when opening project

Hi,

When I try to open up Microsoft Project, I get the following error:
"Could not retrieve global template. There seems to be a problem with the
database, please contact your server administrator."

I checked the database and nothing seems to be wrong... Any ideas on how to
resolve this problem? There is no error code or anything so I have no idea
what I can do to investigate this problem.

Right now I can't open nor save any project so it's a big problem... and
also I don't want to lose my macros (I have backups but a bit old).
I can access Web Access without any problem though.

Go to the PWA and make sure it's not checked out. If it is, check it back in
and retry. Other than that, you'll have to resort to a back-up.

I tried restoring the Enterprise Global using the restore function, but I
have a new problem...
It says "There was an error opening the enterprise resource pool. You may
not have sufficient permission."

What can I do know? The only option I can think of is to completely
reinstall project server, but that would be a lot of hassle for an issue
related only to the enterprise global / resource pool. Also is there any way
to open and save a local copy of projects when the enterprise global is down?
I could copy the data from Web Access to Excel but that would be long and
there is a possible loss of data.

If someone can help me in any way his input will be greatly appreciated ;)
