Problem with Datalabel in Stacked bar charts

Shyam

Hi,
I have a stacked bar chart and over the chart I have data labels.
Problem is: When I print my chart in printer, my datalabels are
being displayed in a square box with white color background.
I do not want any background or border for my data label.
I even checked the datalabel properties. While viewing the chart,
the data label is good but when printing I can see a white background for
data labels.

Can someone help me in fixiing this.

Have you tried going to datalabels - font - background - and changing it to
transparent?

BJ,
Thanks for posting your comment. I am using Microsoft Excel 2002 ver.
When I right click the datalabel, I can see the background color set as
automatic and I am not able to see any "transparent" check box or something
like that.

Please let me know is there any other to fix this issue..

Is your document protected? When I bring up the box Format Data Labels and
click Font I go down to Background. Then there is a box to choose automatic,
transparent, or opaque. I can set transparent there.

In the Format Data Labels dialog, on the Font tab, the Automatic setting
under Background is the first in a combobox list. Expand the combobox list
and select Transparent.
