problem with Due date in Task

I am using M'soft Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003; have been using
it for at least a year without any major screw ups; today I find that
whenever I click on Due date in Tasks, the calendar drops down but as soon as
I move my pointer outside the due date box the calendar disappears; anyone
might have an idea of what is going on with this?
