Problem with feedback on website

D

Dagmar

Good morning: My website has been successfully posted to the web. However,
when we attempt to send a comment or feedback to our company from an outside
computer we get the 'FrontPage Run-Time Component Page' . We have been
working with the host to attempt to install FP Server Extensions (which they
tell us they support) but all that does is remove our Logo and links. Would
it have anything to do with installing these extensions without disabling our
Symantec security system? We have gone through the install and uninstall
extensions several times with our Host support with no luck. Any suggestions
you might have would sure be appreciated.

The FP feedback component will not work unless you http publish (not ftp) to
a web site with the FP server extensions already installed.

The problem could indeed be with your Symantec Security system. It's been
known to cause many problems.

Thank you for this response. The site was re-published using http and most
items are working. There is still apparently a missing link on the contact
page where comments can be mailed back but I'm not sure how to fix that and
if it may be because I reconfigured that page. Many thanks again for the help

If the page/site had been FTP'd, the FPSE may need to be repaired to get ful
functionality back out of them, regardless if the site had been republished
via HTTP

If you go to the contact page on the site, it is those forms that don't
want to work. Many thinks for your input.

I just want to say a big "Thank you" to the community for all the help you
have given me. Thanks Rob for pointing me in the simple direction which did
the job and all is now working as expected and hoped for. No more sleepless
nights for this Grandma, at least for the time being:)
