Problem With File Format Information

S

Seeker

Had problems with IE and wound up reinstalling W2K. It's going well but I am
having problems with Photo Editor.

When I gring it up, I get the following error message:
"No file format information can be found in the registry"

Other applications such as IE, Win Explorer, Word can read various graphics
files but Photo Editor cannot and there are no file types listed when I try
to open a file. The converters are present in the common files directory.

I looked in the registry and the extensions are listed there as keys but no
data in the key.

How do I get Photo Editor to use the fileters? I have
uninstalled/reinstalled Office 2K about 4 times now.
