problem with "Ghost" messages

Hi everybody,

Although my outgoing box is empty, it seems that my Outlook 2007 is trying
to send a number of messages whenever I launch it and at regular intervals,
as if it kept in some "cache" memory those messages I couldn't send before,
due to, I assume, some problem with my Internet provider. I since use
another provider.

I just don't know which messages it is trying to send and after some delay I
get this error message indicating that "Outlook cannot connect to the SMTP
server... (error 0x80042109).

Is there a way to see / to clear all the messages queuing to be transmitted?

many thanks in advance for your kind help.

with best regards,
Daniel

Hello Roady,

many thanks for your kind help.

Unfortunately this didn't help. Since then I did some research and found
out that my second Internet provider by default blocks all SMTP except
their own. I deactivated this feature in my account settings and it now
seems to be working OK.

again, thank you very much for your time and concern.
best regards,
Daniel
