Problem with header and footer !

G

Greg Bernard

Hello,

I am using Word X SR 1 French and have updated both patch up to 10.3

I have a problem with a document that I have created where header and footer
are no longer accessible;

First page has a different header so I can still access It but all other
pages that have different header are not accessible (thaugh they print very
well !!).

When I browse my document in page view, the document automatically switch to
Normal mode when reaching page 2 (with a different header) !

How can i access the footer and header ?

Hi Greg:

This is a pain, and Mac Word does it far too often. Your headers and
footers have become "Floating" (I nearly said 'flouting'... shaddap
J.E.....).

1) Create a fresh new document.

2) Copy all EXCEPT the last paragraph mark to the new document.

3) The bad headers and footers should have gone: you will need to re-create
them.

If that doesn't work, the corruption is in your document section break,
delete it and try again with a fresh blank document.

Cheers

Dear sir,

Thanks very much seems It's working, only problem is that all my formating
has gone (all my style modification has vanished). As It was quite long and
painfull to create I'd rather get It back.

Do you know a way to apply the style of a document to another one or copy
paste It ?

Sincerly yours.

Hi Greg:

Sure! Open the old document and use Organiser to copy the styles back into
the new document from it.

Go to Tools>Templates and Addins>Organizer and copy the styles across.

Cheers
