Problem with headers.

When I open Excel 2000, instead of having letters
across the top, I get numbers. Is there any way to
change this?

Hi,

Use the menus Tools > Options
On the General tab uncheck the option 'R1C1 reference style'

Thank you so much, I've been trying to figure this out for a
week now. (off and on)

Is there a reason why anyone would want a spread sheet to
work this way? I think it's an unnecessary problem.
