problem with internet links

Hi,
I have on a workbook a lot of links but each time I click on one of them the
workbook close and I need to reopen it for the next link and again it close
itself after opening the WebPages. How can I keep that workbook open ? I
don't want it to close each time I click on a link.

Are you using xl97?

IIRC, if you change a cell (so that excel thinks your file needs to be saved),
then it won't close it.

Hi Dave,
yes I am using XL97 and yes it works to edit a cell and not saving the
workbook before opening any links then the workbook does not close...but why
does it close when there is no work to be saved?

My answer to most why questions: 'Cause that's what it does!

I would guess that it's not intended behavior. It doesn't work that way in
xl2002 (and I think that xl2k was also fixed, er, enhanced!)
