Problem with Issues and Document check-in

We have one particular user that is having a problem with checking in public
documents. She is able to access the Public Documents folder, add a
document, check out a document and edit it in Excel, and save it to the WSS
server. The problem comes when she goes to check the document back in.
Instead of getting the Document Check In screen, her screen is blanks
(except for the navigation frames across the top of the page.)

I tested the Issues and Risks functions as well. She can create risks in a
project, but when she goes to enter in a new issue, the screen goes blank,
just like with the check-in process. We had a problem with this a couple of
weeks ago after they upgraded her laptop to XP SP2, and it turned out the
pop-up blocker was turned on. I verified that all pop-up blockers are
turned off, and that her browser was set to allow access to data across
domains. Other users are not having this problem, and her security settings
are the same as several other people who are not experiencing the problem,
so I suspect it has to do with something on her PC.

I'm not sure if this is related, but we do keep getting error messages when
trying to link documents in WSS to a project. It states that WSS cannot
access information from Project Server, and possible reasons are
cross-domain data access is disabled (it isn't) or cross domain data access
was denied when prompted (no prompt appeared). Both WSS and PS are trusted
sites (they reside on the same server). After the error message comes up,
the system does load the document, but something must be incorrectly set for
the error to occur in the first place.

Any suggestions on where to start?

Update -

This appears to be fixed now. They lowered the Privacy Options in IE one
level and it started working.
