Problem with Large Attachments in Outlook 2003

I am having problems sending any attachment large than 500k. It sits in my
outbox and I an error message

Error (0x800CCC13) Unable to connect to network

It is not my ISP because today I have been on 2 different ISP's and have had
no problems. I found somewhere in the discussion group about turning Norton
Antivirus Email Scan off but have tried this and it doesn't solve the
problem. I have only noticed this problem since an auto update on the 4th
Dec (Cumulative Security update for internet explorer 6 Service pack 1) and
when I received a 30mb attachment on 8th Dec. Not sure if these are related
to the problem? Smaller attachments and normal mail is no problem.

Receiving has also been a bit funny with some emails coming through twice
or even three times.

Been having problems with e-mail since installation of Q889293. Using
Windows 2000, Outlook 2000. All patches up to date, although 2000 is no
longer a fully supported product, I know. Get one or two incoming messages,
then connection fails in Outlook with error message 0x800ccc13. Did some
research: looks like IE patch Q889293 may be in conflict with Outlook Express
patch Q823353. Any suggestions on this one? (Already checked
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;312349 before I
checked here).

I have Outlook Express v6.00.2800.1123, Internet Explorer v6.0.2800.1106,
Outlook 2003 v11.6359.6360 SP1. Did an update check but there are no later
verisons of Internet Explorer. What next?

So then any solutions? I can't just live with this problem! I have
uninstalled Q823353 but still have the problem. Somebody must have an answer

I had a similar problem. It was suggested to uninstall and reinstall Norton.
I did and now my large files transmit. Go figure...
