Problem with link from discussion board + managing of the board +.

Tomas

I have successfully developed an internal discussion board for the company
but there are three issues.

1. The presentation is frame-based with the Content in the upper frame and
the selection of actions you can choose in the lower frame. I want to add a
link back to the non-frame-based start page, but the upper frame remains
open. I see the start window in the lower frame.

What to do? If you have an answer for this please keep it simple since I
don't know much HTML (that's a major reason I chose FP).

2. How do I manage the posts, e.g. remove old ones or move them to more
appropriate categories?

3. When someone answers a topic he can still chose the category although I
would think that it should be locked to the same category as the original
post. Can the category be locked to the original one?

Best,

Tomas

Inline below. Comments assume that the discussion board is based on the
FrontPage discussion web.

Right click on the hyperlink and choose Hyperlink properties. Set the
target frame to Whole Page (_top).

Create a new web and start again. The old discussion web can be archived,
with the Posting forms removed.

would think that it should be locked to the same category as the original
post. Can the category be locked to the original one?

No. Even the subject can be changed.
