Problem with linking to a file in PP 2000

I started with a presentation that had some macros. It worked fine when
run under PP 2000.
However it would not work when using the PP viewer, since macros are not
supported.
So I had the brilliant idea of creating an HTML page that did the macro
functions. The HTML file is in the same folder as the .PPS. There is a
button on the PP page that has an hyper link to the correct HTML page
(using Other file in the Mouse click action settings).
Again it works fine in PP, but when I try to run it in the viewer I get
the following message:
"The address of the site is not valid. Check the address and try again."
Is there a limitation in the viewer that prevents linking to a page in
this way, or is there another way that it should be defined?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
John Crawford
