Problem with MS-Word duplex printing

I played around with duplex printing and tried to setup the feature in “Print
/ Properties / Finishing (Document Options) – Print Both Sides†option only
to find out that module was not installed for my printer (hp photosmart 7960).

Now I can’t get rid of the option. I have to go into almost all of my
documents and cancel the option before I can print.

I have an hp photosmart 7960 printer and the message I get is "Automatic
two-side printing module missing"

I thought it might have been a template problem so I went in to ever
incident of “Normal.dot†– changed the option and resaved the template. That
seems to have solved the problem for the most part for new documents.

However, when I go into a pre-existing document I have to go through the
same old routine.

Open the Printers folder in the control panel, right-click your printer, click
printing preferences, disable the duplex option.

To add to Mary's comment.
In Control Panel, Printer, Properties if you cannot find the option to turn
off duplexer {HP calls it two sided printing} click the Printing Preference
button at the bottom of the General tab and go the Finishing tab.

BTW: the missing module is a mechanical extra cost HP option that attaches
to the back of your printer. If you look at the back of your printer you
should see a panel. The two side printer device replaces the panel. If you
decide to purchase the option, check your printer manual for the correct
model number.
