Problem with navigation bar

G

Gert

Hi,

I've had my website up for some time now. Used FP 2000 originally,
upgraded to 2003 recently.

I have following problem. the navigation bar in the shared borders
doesn't appear everywhere where it's supposed to be. Locally, on my
own PC, when browsing through the files using IE everything appear the
way it should.

On the published version, 1 button doesn't appear on the home page.
When I access the page it would refer to, on that page no navigation
bar appears. If needed, please check my website www.whereisgert.net.
On the home page there should be a button labelled "Spain". However
you can surf to www.whereisgert.net/spain/spain.htm to see that indeed
there is a page, but without any navigation bar on it.

Tried deleting the navigation bar and inserting it again: no use. Is
there something that I have overlooked? Should I delete certain files?
Locally or remote?

Thanks for any help,
Gert.

Stefan,

I did as you suggested: all file and folder names have been checked.
No spaces have been left anywhere. Removed the navigation bar and
inserted it again. Still no button "Spain" and no navigation on the
Spain pages.

Any further suggestions?

Thanks,
Gert.

Never new web addresses
were case sensitive.

Domains aren't, but file/pathnames are.

Funny. Indeed when I click on the link in the group, I also get file

The problem has been solved. I followed Stefan's advise and replaced
all spaces with underscores or hyphens. Then, I deleted the whole
navigation structure and built it up manually as suggested in MS
Knowledge Base article 304401. I have also deleted all the files on
the remote site, and uploaded the whole thing again. Now it works.
