Problem with Office Assistant

Hi, Bill. I don't think the Disk 1 installer automatically prompts you
to insert Disk 2, because not all versions of Office 2000 came with a
Disk 2. Insert Disk 2 into the CD-ROM drive and follow the setup
instructions on the screen. If you don't want the Disk 2 installer to
install "the usual", then choose a Custom installation, select only the
Office Assistant feature, and set this feature to "Run All From

Office 2000 Standard Edition is listed. I neglected to mention that I have the
"Office 2000 Professional Edition"! Do you have a site for that edition?

No, there isn't a separate article for Office 2000 Professional. The
"Applies To" list often isn't inclusive. The core Office applications
and inner workings in Standard and Professional are basically the same;
