Problem with Optional Section with Controls in 2003

Hello,

I have an Optional Section with Controls in 2003. I have several fields
that are supposed to be populated via a rule from other fields that are
concatenated. If the section is collapsed the fields will not populate, but
if the section is expanded then they update correctly. Is there a tip or
trick that will correct this problem? Thanks in advance for your help.
