Problem with Outlook messages. TABLES NOT WORKING

For some reason, the tables icon in the Outlook Message view is faded and
does not activate and show me options when clicked.

I need this for a class, so it is critical that I can fix this. Please let
me know what the problem might be

Have you tried your question in an Outlook newsgroup? This is a BCM
newsgroup.
