Problem with paragragh numbering

Hi,

I have Office 2003 on XP pro. There is a Word document with paragraph
numbering in it. However they couldn't be displayed automatically. I have to
pick the paragraph number to apply manually. Please help.

Thank you for your reply. All settings are by default. I just checked the
Auto Correct option, all boxes are checked. Please advice!

Have you selected the paragraphs you want to number and then select
numbering? Or how do you start paragraph numbering?

If you are adding a new paragraph, exactly are you starting the new
paragraph? Normally you should place the curser right behind the last
character in the paragraph above the new one you want to start. Don't add
additional spaces between paragraphs. If you want additional spacing,
adjust the spacing do not add additional lines.

Does that help?

BTW sorry for a delay in responding, I was in the hospital and then I was a
worker for the election.
