Problem with Preview Pane in Outlook 2002.

Problem with Preview Pane in Outlook 2002. Outlook will
not leave the preview pane option enabled. When I exit
and come back in, I have to reselect that I want to use
the preview pane.
This is Outlook 2002 on WinXP.
Any Ideas??

Did you install and setup Outlook 2002 on your desktop? Or was that
done by your IT department or network or mail administrator? It is
possible they have configured a command-line parameter and/or registry
entry that prevents the use of the Preview pane (but which really only
keeps it from opening on startup but which the user can override by
turning it on once Outlook has loaded).
