Dear all,
I created a project in Project Professional 2003. I am able to save and publish it properly to project server 2003 and it's visible via web user interface. Now when I assign a task to specific resource from Enterprise Resource Pool , the resource is appeard next to task info. After publishing the project to the project server, the assigned resource can not see the assigned tasks in his/her task list. Does anybody have idea ?
Regards,
Amirali

This could be caused by a couple of situations:

1. You have saved the project in the Project Server database but you have
not actually published the assignments in the project. To publish your
project, did you click Collaborate - Publish - New and Changed Assignments
or Collaborate - Publish - All information? You must perform this step to
actually "push" the complete project information to PWA.

2. The user has the "Current tasks" option selected in the sidepane on the
left side of the View My Tasks page. Ask the user to select the "All tasks"
option instead to see if the task assignment shows up on his/her timesheet.

Let us know if this helps.

A third option may be that the person is marked as
proposed instead of committed. Double click the resources
name in the Full Client and then on the general tab you
can check. If they are only proposed the data will not
show up on their timesheet.

Thanks for the additional thought. I didn't even think of that as a
possible source of the problem

Thanks for the additional thought. Frankly, I didn't even think of booking
type as a possible source of the problem as most people don't know about and
don't use the Proposed booking option. Thanks for thinking of it. I will
be curious to see if that solves the problem.
